Tennis Festival

Children in Year 4 & 5 have represented Devoran School amongst other local primary schools at Penair. During the festivals, Sports Leaders from Penair provided opportunities for our players to practice and learn new skills which focussed on hand eye coordination, reaction time, accuracy and fitness. The sports leaders then challenged all players with mini games, serving, vollies and King of the Court. Well done to all our players and a very big thank you to all Sports Leaders.

Football

Our Year 6’s from Devoran School was extremely thankful to be invited by Plymouth Argyle to play in a football funday at St Francis’ School. Whilst Devoran Red and Yellow’s were there, they also had a ‘chance in a lifetime’ opportunity to see and pose with the Premier League Trophy. It was fascinating to read all the teams that had won the trophy and we were quite shocked by how big it was. Whilst at the football funday, there was even an appearance from Pilgrim Pete! It was great to meet him and see if he could do the ‘Dab!’. Both Devoran Yellow’s and Red’s managed to win a game, show exceptional sportsmanship and superb collaboration.

Penair’s Big Primary Summer Festival

10 children from Year 5 & 6 represented Devoran School at Penair. Our children competed in Football Matches and Tug of War games against Tregolls, St Mary’s & Arch Bishop Benson. All children demonstrated superb team work, sportsmanship and determination. Well done to all our players and a very big thank you to all Sports Leaders.

Indoor Athletics

Indoor Athletics Championships saw a large contingent from Devoran taking part and the whole team were placed 3rd on Tuesday, at Penryn Academy. The teams competed in jumping, throwing and running events and deported themselves very well indeed.
