Governing Body

The governing board exists to provide strong strategic leadership to a school.  The 3 core functions of the governing board are:

  • Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
  • Holding the Headteacher to account for the education performance of the school, pupils and performance management of the staff;
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
The Governing Body meets every half term. Jo Stone is the Chair of Governors.  The names of each governor, dates of appointment and when they stepped down (where applicable), terms of office and who appointed them can be found in the membership document below.  Any relevant business and financial interests are published in the Register of Interests.

There is one sub-committee, which reviews Pay and Performance each year.  The Chair of the sub-committee is elected by that committee.
